How did you first get involved with LoveOne? Chris Hargrave from the Oregon City Les Schwab, another LoveOne volunteer, introduced me to LoveOne in Oregon City and I decided to get involved in my own community of Molalla.
What has surprised you most about working with LoveOne? How much the community cares!
What is the single-most important takeaway from volunteering with LoveOne? At the end of the day I am just happy to have helped even one person.
What’s the hardest part about volunteering with LoveOne? Hearing everyone’s life stories. Sometimes they are heartbreaking.
If you could change one thing about LoveOne, what would it be? I love LoveOne, I just sometime wish we could help more.
What do you wish other people knew about LoveOne? I wish people knew that it wasn’t just for homeless and that anyone from the single mother to broke college student can come and get help. Also, IT’S SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST LAUNDRY!
What would you tell someone who is thinking about donating to or volunteering with LoveOne? Every item that you are donating goes to a person or family in your own community.
What are you doing when you aren’t volunteering? Enjoying time with my family and getting ready to welcome my husband and I’s first child into this big world!
